The most coveted surfboards in the entertainment industry were given out at the Teen Choice Awards 2011. A List Celebs, Teen Heartthrobs and musical performances graced the stage. Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Carmen Diaz, Jason Derulo, Tom Kenny & the Elements Krypton 25 were all there. That's right, the Elements Krypton 25 was making another appearance at a high profile awards show and Lighting Designer Tom Kenny knew just how to use them to fit within the modern set. The Krypton 25 may now have more exposure in Hollywood than Paris Hilton.
Kenny used the Kr 25s as more architectural element then a concert lighting fixture. The multiple columns of Krypton 25s graced the main stage as well as Krypton 25s placed high back stage to be within camera's shot. The Kr 25's had a static pattern for most of the show. Craig Singer, President of ICD commented "Tom always pushes the envelope of lighting design, to see him use the Krypton 25s in that fashion was a unexpected surprise." Usually used as a in your face matrix blinder, Tom changed things up a bit the way he chose to use them. VER LA provide the gear for this FOX Television production.
